Peacock Bros. is delighted to be renewing its partnership with FareShare, a charity that rescues surplus food and cooks free, nutritious meals for those in need.
Peacock Bros. is proud to support this great cause and help raise awareness of their vital work and encourage donations.
Ruth Kaplan, Managing Director at Peacock Bros., said: ‘’ We cannot overlook our corporate social responsibility as an organisation. It was staggering to learn that four million Australians experience food insecurity each year while as much as $20 billion worth of food is wasted. Food insecurity has really come to the fore in recent times, but we still have a long way to go. As an organisation, we will do everything we can to not only support FareShare financially, but also support our own staff whilst they undertake fundraising activities for FareShare and donate their time.”
Peacock Bros.' support will help FareShare’s vital services including providing meals for soup vans, homeless shelters, women’s refuges and community food banks to ensure that the three in ten Australians who experience food insecurity each day get the support they so desperately need and deserve.
