We proudly lead the way when it comes to sourcing , designing, and manufacturing label and packaging solutions that are good for the environment and our customers.
Peacock Bros. helps customers reduce waste in an environmentally responsible manner while driving operational efficiency in the supply chain. We do the same within our business.
Our company has recently switched to renewable energy at our Melbourne and Sydney production plants to reduce our carbon footprint. The 240kW Solar installations have resulted in a reduction of energy consumption of 60 per cent.
Peacock Bros. environmental policies and operational practices focus on waste reduction and sustainability. We source and create products that do more with less through thinner solutions, lower densities, and simplified structures. The sustainable sourcing and disposal of materials are pillars of the business’s sustainability philosophy. We support aluminium foil replacement and look for opportunities to mimic other materials like PET. Our Mono Material Polyolefin approach encompasses polypropylene and polyethylene recycling.

R28 Film
R28 Film is a mono constructed, 100 per cent recyclable packaging material that is available in Australia exclusively through Peacock Bros. The film offers strong, flexible, sustainable packaging for long-life perishable products such as food, liquids, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
Offering Peacock Bros. customers the opportunity to switch to R28 Film is aligned with our belief that it is imperative to move away from a linear economy to a circular economy. The product is reusable, easily recyclable and consumes very low levels of power to manufacture, thereby reducing your carbon footprint.
Greenliner
After years of research and investment, Peacock Bros. has developed an environmentally friendly label liner suitable for most labelling applications, including shipping and freight labels, product labels and retail labels. Unlike traditional glassine and PET liners which cannot be recycled with normal paper, Greenliner can be disposed of using a business’s existing recycling processes.
Greenliner is thinner than competitive products, and this leads to efficiency gains because each roll has 45 per cent more labels. Greenliner is also 54 per cent lighter than traditional glassine liners, which reduces the amount of warehouse space a business requires and saves on transportation costs.
Sharlin Data
Another exciting Peacock Bros. sustainability initiative is our Sharlin Data division, which refurbishes old devices and gives them a second life. We provide a buy-back service that accepts decommissioned printers, mobile devices and scanners that are no longer in use. Not only is this a responsible and green option for ageing technology, but the financial benefits can go towards the purchase of new equipment.
